Here, at last, is a complete departure from the standard books on mentalism. not the slick, smooth effects that have become associated with magicians but simple, yet mind boggling experiments suited to the expert on extra sensory perception. in "mind and matter" you will find experiments of the nature that ordinary people can get excited about. experiments that prove your ability to move or alter physical objects by willing them with your mind! and that is what psychokinesis or telekinesis is all about! this is not an expose of how other mentalists and psychics perform their feats - it's more than that! this book teaches you how you can bend metals, alter the shape of matter, move inanimate objects, interrupt radio waves and much more! contents include: preliminary remarks, mental metals, pk plant, pipe-plex, powers that shatter, confusing the compass, psychic sculpting, nutty-kinesis, "we interrupt this program", burning thoughts, jumping jehosephats, nervous matches, st. vitas' table and pendulum, poltergeisties!, television telekinesis, turn of the century tiltings and tappings, wilting coinage, black thoughts, in the name of historical curiosity. fiftytwo big pages of dynamic material, profusely illustrated and well written. loaded with valuable and original material and information. written by stephen minch .00 and craps lessons.

Comment ; , and noted "i expect to fully collect them, although it will be very difficult. it's important, though, because it is the only way for our message to get out." asked to guess at the number of signatures, iverson responded with "about 150 or so." so he's got plenty of work to do. sharon nasset: yes i will be able to meet the march deadline, thanks. i unsure of how many signatures we have at the moment we have been inviting friends and family to help out. just getting that going is a challenge.with the candidate having only 0 they can donate them selves. rent, phone, flyers, copies of petitions, material, website, buttons, signs and my kick-off party at a shot is very hard. i think a candidate should be about to spend at least 00 on their own campaign. most of this and the rules as they are still leave you at a great advantage missioner saltzman signed up and declared 0, 000 + which he has been raising for months. just to clarity, ms. nasset is correct that the individual limit is 0, but donations totalling as much as , 000 may be collected towards "seed money" for gathering signatures. tres shannon [no contact info; i may have to go buy a doughnut to find out how things are going]. don smith: no response yet to inquiries lucinda tate: according to what appears to be a recent update to her website given that she refers to march 20 as "less than six weeks away, " ; , ms. tate is roughly halfway there, with about 500 signatures. as such, she is likely the furthest along among those who don't claim to be ready, and also quite possibly is fritz's only competition for "people's candidate" against saltzman. there are other candidates who may still potentially file eg ginny burdick ; , but since you cannot solicit contributions until you do, i can only assume that those who intend to file but have not, will eschew voe. should boyles, sten and tate all qualify, they would receive 0, 000 for the primary contests. since that would put two voe candidates in each race, potentially all four could also qualify for general election funds. if that were to happen, the total outlay for the 2006 cycle would be .6 million. if either sten or boyles won the primary outright with 50% or more ; , the city would save 0, 000 in general election financing. of course the same is true for fritz and tate; remember, saltzman is not running under voe. in the course of talking with the candidates, most of them tried to impress upon me how difficult the challenge of qualifying was. as noted, one of hinds' comments was that prospective contributors tend to be loathe to give out their full addresses to people they don't know. my idea to help remedy that difficulty would be some kind of id or document from the city that would allow voe-declared candidates to carry an official and learning craps.

Random shooting stats in the nba every day you can read the stats in the paper or on the nba website and see how your favorite players performed the previous evening. the results continue to be pretty bleak for these incredible athletes, though on some evenings any team can get it together and light it up. on the down side: i just happened to see the stats for cleveland for their game against the 76ers, dec. 2nd. they shot only 33% field goals, 30 for 90! and that includes dunks and layups, remember! the individual stats were these, anonymously: 2 for 8, 3 for 8, 4 for 12, 5 for 17, 3 for 11, 6 for 11, 4 for 6, 1 for 4, 0 for 3, 1 for 5 and 1 for 5. if you take out the 6 for 11 and the 4 for 6, the other 9 guys shot only 27%, 20 for 73!!! no wonder the cavaliers lost by 34 points. it was not a cavalier definition: "free and easy, casual, arrogant" ; evening on the hardcourt for them. the washington wizards also shot only 33% for their game against atlanta on nov. 28th, 27 for 82 from the field. they lost by 27 points, deservedly. and i noticed that the charlotte hornets shot even worse, 27 for 84 32% ; , on dec. 1st versus the 76ers, losing by 20. the 76ers shot 45%, making 6 more field goals with 11 fewer shots 33 for 73 ; . the winners also shot 89% from the line versus 76% for the losers. on the plus side: though i tend to notice the poor shooting and write about that, sometimes the pros shoot very well, as the 76ers did above. when utah and new jersey played on nov. 28, they shot a combined 47% in field goals and 77% in free throws. when dallas and toronto played the same night, they shot a combined 45% field goals and 84% free throws. and on nov. 4th, the pacers and bulls played a game in which they shot a combined and remarkable 87.5% from the free throw line, 49 of 56! sometimes these great athletes shoot extremely well. most of them are streaky, at best, and when the streaks match up as a team, they are difficult to beat. i feel dallas will easily make the playoffs this year and give fits to the elite teams because they have a number of good shooters, unlike most teams which may have only one or two, at best. college game -- poor shooting loses a game i read that on nov. 9th, st. johns upset 12th-ranked kentucky in a very close, low scoring poor shooting? ; game, 62 - 61. a 3-pointer by anthony glover made the difference at the end, but before that shot, both teams performed miserably. the red storm of st. johns and craps tournament. Words are taking on a new meaning. the one thing that still doesn't make any sense to me is why sammy is in my head. i'm not him. * my next stop needs to be psb, our little abbreviation for the public safety building, what most would call the police department. unfortunately, a shower and a change of clothes takes priority. that and i'm not really ready to see any of my co-workers just yet. so i take a right out of the parking lot to mental health. i live in the east end, so it's back to i-295 i go. "617 to radio, " i call into the communications center. "unit 617, go ahead, " a radio dispatcher with a squeaky voice replies. "show me clear from mental health." "eight-forty-two hours." good god, not even nine o'clock. i'm gonna need more coffee. my crown vic coughs as i pull out onto woodman road and head north past the county depot. i keep asking myself where i would go if i was sammy. i gotta end this investigation before i really do lose my mind. last time i felt this bad was after a bad batch of sangria at a christmas party two years back. that i'm sober this time around isn't encouraging. the traffic light at woodman and mountain catches me as the dispatcher assigns a unit to a call about a guy on a bike riding down 295 near woodman. thank god i'm not a road unit anymore, dealing with that kind of bogus call. of course, i might not have killers in my head either if i was still dealing with crap like that. looks like the biker decided to ditch the interstate. i see this navy blue three-speed pulling off the exit ramp from 295 south. what a freak. the guy on the bike is wearing this long-sleeved white button-downed shirt with the sleeves rolled up. and the shorts on this guy are these ugly red and white polka dots. the closer he gets, the stranger he is. he's on a woman's bike, with the middle bar sloped downward, which i've never understood. seems like that design makes more sense for a guy considering we're a lot more sensitive between the legs. the guy's hair is a mess, like he doesn't own a hairbrush or something. might as well spare the road unit coming to find this guy. besides, i could use the distraction. "617 to radio." "unit 617, go ahead." "radio, let the unit responding to the biker on 295 know he's gotten off the interstate at woodman. he can cancel from--" the bike rolls past me, and i see this panicked look on the guy's face, like he's seen the assend of hell. those aren't shorts. those are boxers, sammy's boxers. "radio, keep the other unit coming!" i yell into my radio like some rookie getting ready to enter his first pursuit. "subject is southbound on woodman approaching the depot!" there's this hellacious pause while my excitement probably gives the radio dispatcher a heart attack. "radio is 10-7!" the dispatcher answers. that basically tells everyone on the radio to keep his trap shut unless he's coming to help. not that everyone and his brother doesn't step all over each other trying to respond. the radio sounds like a digital accordion with all those guys transmitting at once. i'm just trying to get my car's blue light flashing and u-turn at the same time without getting into a wreck. the radio finally clears up as sammy's feet start moving faster than a man stomping grapes. "radio, subject is wanted reference incident on dawndeer lane. he's wearing a long-sleeved white shirt with red and white shorts. all units responding use caution! subject is 10-96." he's got about as much chance of outrunning me on that bike as i do losing the spare tire around my waist. that doesn't stop him from trying. the idiot veers left off of woodman. "subject just turned into the south entrance to the depot!" i radio all the guys coming and learning craps.
Old days"? they've forgiven mr colonel gadaffi - why not us?? the semis are realistic and i hope that the press will cease this endless crap about what has happened before in millwall's and dennis wise's past and realise that the club has changed, the fans have changed and the times have changed. with all this in mind, and i apologise for my rambling on, i hope that this current team does get the sniff of glory, some may even remember wembley, and that this season is one of cheer and not doom and gloom or near misses again. thanks also for theo for putting some of mr reid's money to buying danny dichio. that means the winnings from our cup run can be used for players. i'm off now, nursey has woken me up and i've got to buy my semi-final ticket to watch millwal v arsenal. mal robb e-mail poison "this wasn't supposed to happen. somehow, millwall have reached the sixth round of the fa cup, which means that it might take only a home tie against tranmere rovers, followed by a pairing with sunderland, whom they have already beaten twice this season, to reach the final. it's that close. and then, instead of merely vomiting on their own doorstep, the moronic tendency that refuses to detach itself from the club could descend on wales and cover the entire millennium stadium with bile - all in front of a global television audience. that should do wonders for london's olympic bid. if the fa decided to rig today's draw, it might not be inundated with complaints." this was written by a mr keith pike for the times after the burnley game. he spent the rest of the page shredding millwall to pieces with his political views. i hope millwall ban this verbally sick reporter for life. in one report he has done more damage than a pitch invasion. we all know millwall are no angels, but the club are doing remarkable work for the community. i not a bitter man, and hope mr pike lives a very happy life, watching millwall make at least the semi finals of the fa cup and maybe the finals. it's what the club deserve for all their hard work. bun hadlow, kent careful with those stones stan ternant really went for us didn't he? talk about glass houses and stones. he reckons that this is a hot-bed of bnp activity, 'because we have one in burnley'. don't give me that stan, you now sweet 'f' all about south london these days. however, i think millwall should be careful what they say. all it takes is one racist comment, and the press will be listening very closely for it, to tear us apart. theo has made a statement, leave it at that. don't add fuel to the fire. i've even heard stupid comments about slander. just leave it millwall, it's sure to come back to haunt you. stan won't though, he will be sacked in the summer. dean scott bromley, kent and craps online casino game.

Based on the nhlbi's fhs in its 44-year follow-up of participants and the 20-year follow-up of their offspring2: chd comprises more than half of all cardiovascular events in men and women under age 75. the lifetime risk of developing chd after age 40 is 49% for men and 32% for women.40 the incidence of chd in women lags behind men by 10 years for total chd and by 20 years for more serious clinical events such as mi and sudden death. in the nhlbi's aric study, average age-adjusted chd incidence rates per 1000 person-years were: white men, 12.5; black men, 10.6; white women, 4.0; and black women, 5.1. incidence rates excluding revascularization procedures were: white men, 7.9; black men, 9.2; white women, 2.9; and black women, 4.9. hypertension was a particularly powerful risk factor for chd in black persons, especially in black women. diabetes was a weaker predictor of chd in black than in white persons.41 the annual rates per 1000 population of first heart attack mi or chd death ; in non-black men are 19.2 for ages 6574, 28.3 for ages 75 84, and 50.6 for age 85 and older. for non-black women in the same age groups the rates are 6.8, 14.2 and 33.2, respectively. for black men the rates are 21.6, 27.9 and 57.1, and for black women the rates are 8.6, 17.6 and 24.8, respectively chs [1989 2000], nhlbi. Dear tlr i have just read the slp and had it confirmed on millwall clubcall that billy bonds is considering his future at the den. in my opinion it would be millwall's loss if bonds leaves. he has taken over the management of the club at the most difficult time in our history. picking up the mess left by mccarthy and nicholl, after raising what he could by selling the wasters he could get money for he was left with no more than half a million to rebuild with. kenny brown, brian law and paul allen were considered good signings at the time, and you can't really question paul allen's commitment, although we signed him two years too late as far as his age is concerned. as can be said of andy gray. shaw and grant will get even better in a more confident team, and as for cook and ryan, only time will tell. bonds has not been helped by the likes of savage, who can't manage more than three games on the trot without injury - we should sell him as soon as an offer comes in. players like wilkinson, sturgess and veart were a mistake, although there's even a question mark whether bonds even wanted veart at all. he's showed no interest in any of the games he's played in so far. after reading bobby bowry's twenty questions in tlr 96, he says the reason he thinks the players are performing so badly is because of a lack of effort by the team as if we didn't already know ; . obviously there must be some sort of lack of confidence, but that shouldn't stop the players trying hard to make up for it. the players should all sit down with bonds and talk over the problems, then get on with playing for millwall, or go and ponce off someone else. if bonds was to leave who could come in and do anything different? there's no money available for transfers, we would be back to square one. give bonds the chance to finish the job and get rid of anyone who doesn't want to play. you can't pick and choose what manager you want to play for, the club and supporters must come first. it's been yet another frustrating season, but with a lot more effort from the players, and continued support from the fans, which i still think is good considering the performances at home, bonds can still lead us in the right direction. the board must also stand up and be counted. they should start by slashing ticket prices for the rest of the season. six pounds an adult for the east and south stands, and kids a quid would be a great start. attendances are only going to get lower with the season all but over now. t thorpe se28 dear tlr having reduced my attendance of millwall matches to a mere handful this season, i don't seem to have missed that much, as the same crap football is served up week after week, season after season. but as i write this, i thinking of going to the home match against northampton, though why god only knows? the last time i went to a millwall home match, two little kids sitting behind me, used and craps betting strategy.

Saturday 14th may 2005 have lunch with a tv producer who tells me that a youngish magician who's been in the business 20 years showed him a trick that was lifeless and terribly presented. can't work out whether this means i have an awful lot of catching up to do that it's a positive that i haven't developed any bad or lazy habits yet. got excited reading though a book of simple but incredibly devious card tricks on the train back, particularly as many of them tap into puzzle-style principles rather than prestidigitation moves. make a note to study the book more thoroughly in the coming days. friday 19th may 2005 my dice stacking, an optional skill based interlude i'm hoping to put into the middle of the show, is coming along a treat. having bought about four different desk mats from viking direct and a 25 dice stacking board from cards4magic, turns out the best surface i have is the back of a plasticy leather-backed, folding close up mat i imported from the states that i had all the time. and the best cup i have is not the hand crafted jim zachary dice cup that cost 40, it's the plastic beaker that `someone' half-inched from a nightclub in clapham. duh. still, i don't care because this equipment, primitive though it may be, makes me look good. i can stack 5 high nearly every time after just a couple of hours practice, and have got a few basic tricks down pat the dice in a line, the recovery move etc. patter for this is proving tricky, although i did think of a couple of nice jokes today so have added these to a word document i have on the laptop. the secret to ideas, i find, is not to come up with them because virtually everyone has them but to actually do something with them. and since they have such a short halflife, the best way to avoid losing them is to write them down asap. simple as that. saturday 20th may 2005 been working on the quiz show, a very nice routine that will probably have the most comedy of anything i do in the set. yet it still has lovely mathematical principle behind it that i'm going to enjoy performing. in a sense, it has a very low skill-to-effect ratio which'll leave plenty of scope for keeping my mind on the presentation. it needs a bit of work to make it large enough for parlour stage, though. dan harlan, whose routine it is, was kind enough to email me back the method for making the custom cards needed for the routine. seems like it works, so i'm a happy man. dice in various shapes and sizes keep coming through the post. my latest one is a bargain at 15 a huge metal dice that you can use as a candleholder! also recently saw charlie frye's eccentricks in the post. wow, that man can perform. would be nice to add in a little bit of manipulation in the show e.g. cane work as a prelude to a bunco booth set-up ; , but it would need a lot of practice and gall to do it. maybe next time. there's enough scope for error on my dice stacking! speaking of which, the dice stacking is going well. the cup that seems favourite is still the ahem halfinched beaker. problem with it is that it's totally transparent. in a way, i think this might strengthen the effect if sold right. i mean, you can hardly see the dice when the beaker is in motion anyhow. on the other hand, it's less forgiving because if the stack falls you have to do the recovery move pronto whereas with an opaque cup you can feel hear it and do the move under cover ; . still, i don't think i'll be giving any secrets away so why not? there's been some discussion on magic bunny today about magicians that are, i quote, totally crap incidentally, this diary is rated 12a for strong language [two mentions], mild peril and brief nudity ; . not sure i know what they mean by that phrase. i've seen magicians of all sorts move monkeys, smarmy types, traditional followers, visual clowns, stand-up comedians, the shock tacticians. all of them have different takes on the genre but none of them are perfect. i would only call someone `tc' if they failed four tests: visuals, jokes, trick performance and presentation. if it doesn't look interesting, the patter is purely mechanical, the trick doesn't work and the tone of voice is dull, then tc would be justified. i need to work on parts 3 and 4 i know my props are interesting everyone kinda likes dice and games ; , and i've got some good word gags in the script already. but my performance is flaky i was halfway through a card trick the other day before realising i forgot to ask them to pick a card. and i'm untested on holding this kind of atmosphere together where there can be little dead air.
