Hello again neighbors. are you getting ready for thanksgiving? it's hard to miss the signs that the holidays are getting closer, especially when you go into stores and hear christmas music. i also think of it when i hear commercials reminding me to order thanksgiving dinner. are you going to order your dinner or make everything from scratch? either way, i'm sure it will turn out fine. another way to make thanksgiving dinner turn out fine is to donate items to your local food banks. the wylie christian care luncheon was a great chance to meet community members who help keep the local food bank going, and to donate items for the needy. next issue, we will include information and ideas on ways that you can help those less fortunate this season. what may seem like a small gift could make a big difference to someone's holiday. there were several events this week that show what an active and vibrant community we have. the wylie christian care center is the local food bank for our area. raymond cooper, who runs the center that he began, was recently honored. the collin county community college foundation hosted its annual living legends tribute and cooper was one of the community members honored. look for the story in this issue. congratulations, raymond. a special congratulation. 209 grades 3rd-8th hip hop dance pettit, lisa it's fun, it's funky, it's street. learn hip hop moves and routines to today's most popular artists - such as outkast and usher. no experience necessary. dance shoes or socks required. 211 grades k-2nd basketball for fun bennett, dave leggat, scott this class will teach the various fundamentals necessary for the game of basktball. students will learn different skills and drills that they can take with them to practice individually. students will also learn team concepts and practice them in games. Available armor: cloth, leather, mail, plate level 40 ; , shields available weapons: one and two-handed maces, one and two-handed swords, one and two-handed axes polearms comments: a more melee oriented hybrid paladins, like warriors, can be a tank in the group, they can wear the heaviest armor and combine the hitpoints of a warrior with healing abilities and buffs. they do less damage than a warrior and don't maintain aggro like a warrior, but are generally more focused on being a healer and buffer with seals and auras, which can increase the power of your group. paladins also fare well against undead, whether players characters or npcs. a unique ability of the paladin is the ability to cast buffs on himself and discharge them against enemies with the judgement skill discussed later ; . many of the seal effect descriptions show the positive effects on you and your group, and the negative effect on enemies when discharged. when a paladin is the main tank, he can use threat-management blessings, such as seal of light, to help maintain aggro. seal of light allows you to have a chance to heal yourself each time you hit an enemy. when you use judgement with the seal on your enemy, that allows your party members to benefit from that and heal them each time they strike that enemy. you can combine seals and judgements in different ways for some very interesting and helpful effects depending on your circumstances. an example is judgement of light which when cast on an enemy gives you a chance to gain hitpoints each time you hit. seal of righteousness gives a chance to inflict extra damage and or gain health, or both. this goes well with judgement of the crusader, which also increases damage dealt. paladins can be very flexible in combat since they can shift around their seals and judgements, such as using seal of righteousness and judgement of the crusader combined with the sanctity aura talent when you want to do a ton of damage. if you need some healing, you can use seal and judgement of light. paladins also have access to auras, which are no-cost, permanent buffs for you and your party. some examples of this are devotion aura, which increases the armor of all nearby allies, and retribution aura, which will reflect holy damage back onto any enemy that strikes you or your group. you also have access to blessings, which are short-term buffs, which can be cast on any group member. when soloing, the main thing you will do is seal yourself, use judgement, use another seal, then melee attack until the battle is over. at level 10 you gain access to a variety of seals and the judgement spell. the good news is that you won't die very much when facing mobs. On october 17th, the old brooklyn community development corporation obcdc ; bid farewell to operations manager susan nieves. susan left obcdc to work for another non-profit agency closer to her home. she and her husband had moved to youngstown about a year ago. susan played a key role in the reorganization of obcdc that began shortly before she was hired. she computerized the agency's accounting system, worked on the financial reports required by the city, systematized human resource benefits and records, and coordinated membership drives. in addition, susan took on some of a managing editor's responsibilities for the old brooklyn news and contributed to the continuing professional improvement of the paper. thanks to a background in journalism from her high school years, she was adept at copyreading, fine-tuning articles and noticing layout errors. another of the talents susan brought to the agency was a fluency in spanish that was valuable in assisting local hispanic residents. a native clevelander, susan displayed a passion for furthering the mission of obcdc. this passion played itself out during fund raisers as she worked with the staff to make these events successful. on her final day, susan reminisced that. Mark mullin has established himself as a presence in the canadian art scene in the few short years since completing his mfa at concordia university in 1999. citing the compelling "narrative engagement" of calgarybased mullin's imagery in his 2002 lost horizon exhibition at artspace in peterborough, ontario, maria brendel suggested that, conceptually, the paintings incorporate "science, literature, play and magic." in 2003 mullin had solo exhibitions in vancouver and toronto, and in 2004 he was a finalist in the 2004 rbc new canadian painting competition. in a galleries west web review focused on his march 2006 a sudden change in pressure exhibition at paul kuhn gallery in calgary, kay burns noted mullin's "fascination with the diagrams used to explicate mathematics and physics -- and the notion that such complexity can be simplified into lines, circles and graphs." camrose ducote's subtle yet complex mixed media works attest to the vancouver artist's meditative approach to her layered and reductive production methods. "the physical process by which i create each piece involves that of transformation, which is the theme i attempting to address subjectively, " she explains about her split triptych series shown at atelier gallery in vancouver in march 2006. originally a textile artist -- her sculptural gauze constructions were in the prestigious lausanne international biennial in 1985 -- ducote brings a weaver's attention to detail to her work. unlike most artists who title their pieces, she merely numbers each artwork, leaving the interpretation door open to viewers and black jack supply! ![]() Press the tempo [down] or [up] button. the "tempo" parameter will appear in the display and black jack ballroom.
