There are no captions on the inside cover photos because, quite frankly, we don't know what to say. we're hoping someone who was involved can help us out with an explanation. in two cases we included the full nara card so you can see what we had to work with, obviously not something that would lead us to an explanation in the published literature. we know the dates cannot be trusted, they are more likely the time the photo was processed. so they are generally later, but rarely early than the actual shutter snap. let's go over what we know and hopefully someone out there can fill in the gaps: inside front top: mounting a bar in the aft part of the k-ship car was said to be considered after the k-74 failed to sink the u134 in july of 1943. these photos show just such a ball socket mount aft in what we believe to be the k-91, otherwise nasl cnate's new electronics, etc. testbed ship. the one photo shows a scaffolding that strongly implies this was the k-91, which spent some of its early life on a stand. ; at any rate there are no details as to what happened with this idea. did at least a few other ships get this installation before the war ended? since it did not catch on, why not? inside front bottom: rosendahl, in his book snafu, says the navy developed a "big radar" that the germans could never figure out how to detect. this photo probably doesn't show it nor has any other photo we've found. ; obviously this isn't a "plane" as the captions says, and the date is after v-e day, so we can only hope someone who worked at south weymouth might tell us what this obviously experimental radar dome installation is all about. contrast this with the radar installation on the spirit of innovation car in the goodyear article! ; was this radar actually used on patrol?.

"when we discover objects or games within second life that meet the policy's definition, we will remove them from second life, " he said. "so if an object is in someone's inventory, it cannot be used to gamble. however, if it's placed in-world, and conflicts with the policy, involves wagering and payout, it will be removed." casinos fund dozens of sims. often a sim will center around a club which might include music, gambling and sexual services, renting spaces for a mall, and residential areas. for many sim owners, without gambling, those sims will not be cost-effective. they may not be able to make tier on them soon. shop owners will need to relocate, in some cases. they may not be able to find properties with good traffic for search ratings or stroll-by customers. some casino sims included residential developments in some cases, pre-fab furnished units for rent. these residents are left with no property, not even a house or furnishings they can pack up and move. see gambling, page 29.

Inactive thursday, and bob had taken a break. i would execute all the large orders our customers put in the pit. i received an order to by 500 bonds at the market. as i was finishing up that order, the customer put in another order. this time it was to buy 1000 bonds at the market. on a normal day, if there was a lot of activity in the pit, the big locals would be in the pit trading and i'd buy the bonds from them pretty quickly. it was so slow they weren't in the pit. so i had to buy everything i could get my hands on from many different traders. instead of getting 100 or 200 bonds at a time, i got 25 from one, 47 from another, only 8, and then 50 bonds. not good! trying to keep track of all the bonds and be accurate in the count was a challenge. i managed to get my count correct, except i made a fatal mistake. i wrote a trade down twice. i had a back-up system in place to catch these mistakes. that system was to hire a trade checker. the trade checker double-checked every single trade i made in the pit by taking the trading card the trade was on, and checking with the other traders' trade checkers. my trade checker missed the mistake. it wouldn't be caught until the next day. the next day i came in feeling pretty good. i'd made about , 000 in commissions the day before. it was about 6: 45 am. the market hadn't opened yet. my trade checker was already on the floor checking through the computer printout of the previous day's trades to make sure that everything was ok. suddenly he came running toward me waving the printout and trading card game.

| The start of february began with language camp in the picturesque mountain village of almnster. we were there for a crash course in german because some of us had absolutely no language skills and communication had proved a bit difficult. after arriving on sunday i found that i was rooming with matty, the only bad thing was we had to share a double bed. through the week we were introduced to lots of other exchangers from lots of other countries and were also introduced to the idea of doing work in class. what a novel concept - working together - it will never catch on! ed. ; having learnt another language already i found it fairly easy to pick up the basics of german, now i just have to learn how to form some sentences and get a bit of a vocabulary together. the two weeks at altmnster were spent with the mornings in class and the afternoons and nights free to explore the village and the lake. sledding on the hills behind the village was lots of fun even though it was really easy to hurt yourself, particularly if you're uncoordinated like i am. on the subject of goofiness i slipped on a patch of ice and messed up my face and cracked the enamel of one of my teeth, laughs for everyone, even me. our fist saturday in altmnster was faschings, which roughly translates to.
